Thankful for…
I’ve got so much to be thankful for this year. That’s because last year at this time Matt’s Aunt Hy was dying of cancer. She was the amazing violinist that played at our wedding. She went so quickly – diagnosed in October, died in December. Six months prior we lost Matt’s Grandma Anne, and the month before that I had a miscarriage. 2004 was a rough year.

But in January 2005 I got pregnant. Eight weeks later Erin and Mike announced they were pregnant too. It was so much fun being prego at the same time and even more exciting was our boys’ births this fall. Erin and I had always planned on having babies together so the cousins could grow up together like the Hughs/Wilson and Bryarly/Georig/Tlucek cousins.

I’m also thankful I’ve had so much time off work to spend with my little sweet pea. Everyday Henry grows a little more and does something new. Being new parents is tough at times but our family and friends have been so loving, supportive and helpful. And Matt is amazing. I knew he would be a good father but I was afraid our relationship would take a backseat to our new mom-dad roles. I was wrong. Our love wasn’t divided when Henry arrived, it grew infinitely. I am truly blessed.

Our New Ride
My sweet honey-bunny bought Henry and I a new car this week. We're sportin' an SUV now. It makes me look more mom-like, don't ya think?

IT’S A BOY!!!
Henry’s cousin Taylor arrived on Monday, November 14th. My brother Mike and sister-in-law Erin didn’t want to know the sex of the baby so we’ve all been anxious to find out if little Taylor would be a she or a he. Henry was rootin’ for a playmate so he was super-excited when the nurse un-swaddled our new bundle of joy revealing his goods.

Mom and baby are doing GREAT!
