Super Rocket Buster
That’s what Great Grandma Hughs is now calling our little boy. He started crawling this week! I baby-proofed his room and need to work on the rest of the house now. He’s really fast on the carpet but slows to turtle speed on the hardwoods.

We took another roadtrip this weekend. Visited Grandma Mellie and Grandpa Bob. They needed help fixin’ up their new house before the movers come. Henry likes their new pool. It has a waterfall.

Henry is also really liking swim lessons on Mondays. He can go all the way under now and doesn’t seem to mind it at all.

Oh! Shackleford swallowed another pacifier. That’s right, 3 surgeries. This dog has cost us around $10K in the past year and a half. Insurance is helping us pay for some of the expense but we think they’ll drop us after they get the bill for this most-recent incident. We aren’t sure where Shack found the pacifier. Henry hasn’t sucked on a pacie for a couple of months. We think it’s been bouncing around in his stomach since Feb. or March. Who knows? Anyway, looks like I need to “Shack-proof” the house.

Happy Henry
Doesn’t Henry look happy? That’s because his asthma breathing treatments are working! Now we only have to do them once a day. And he doesn’t have that icky cough and congestion anymore. Here’s a new pic of Henry’s friends Max and Vivian. We go swimming with them on Fridays.Last week Henry stayed with Grandma Mellie and Grandpa Bob while Matt and I were in NY. I was only there for 2 ½ days but it was the most fabulous trip – we did the Staten Island ferry, saw a Broadway Show “The Color Purple”, got front row tickets to David Letterman (Jennifer Aniston was on!), shopped in China Town, and went with Tara and Connie to an IFC movie premier. The after party had a mechanical bull. Yep, I travel from Texas to NY to ride a bull – ironic, huh?

Matt and I went to Victoria to pick up our little guy over Memorial Day weekend. Henry had a wonderful time cruisin’ around Bob and Mellie’s in his walker. He also went swimming for the first time. He loves the water.

Henry has 6 teeth now! The two on the bottom came in at the same time around 5 months. Now he’s got 4 coming in at the same time on top. He drools more than Shackleford. He loves sucking on pickles and lemons. We just started giving him Cheerios and goldfish. He pushes them to the front of his mouth and crunches ‘em with his new teeth. He’s still scooting around on his belly. He’s great moving backyards and in circles. Moving forward is still a bit of a challenge. He’ll get up in crawling position but doesn’t know what to do after that.

Sorry only two pics this time. I got those uploaded then blogspot's photo uploader stopped working. I'll add more pics to this post when it's back up again.
