We celebrated Jake's 2nd birthday yesterday. I guess we've been celebrating all week because his party was last Sunday. I took him for his 2-year check-up. The nurse asked all these questions "Is he eating with a spoon?", "Holding a pencil and drawing circles?", "Can he balance on one foot?"... 20 or 30 like this and I'm proud to report I could answer yes to almost all of them. Jake can sing his ABC's and makes 3 and 4-word sentences. Loves 'Go Diego', Thomas trains, books, cars and tractors. His favorite food is beans and rice, but really he'll try anything you put in front of him. He's a climber! Loves going to park and always races to the tallest slide. Hence, his birthday gift from us:

Party at Gymboree

Jake loves trains and
getting the paper for daddy.

He has always loved his bed, his blankies and paci.
In the evenings he'll wander into his dark room and lay down.
He's a deep sleeper (I can moved him from the car to his bed, no problem)
and an early riser - about 6:30 a.m. everyday.

Jake will have 3 new cousins in June!
Mel is prego with twin boys
and we're not sure what Erin is having.
