Fixin' up the Nursery ~
Okay, so everyone is asking me if the nursery is done and what my colors are. We'll it's almost done.

First we had to build a third bedroom. You see, our house was only 2 bedrooms, but the upstairs "den" is 15x30. So we just built a wall, cutting the room in half, and moved all our guest room stuff up there -- making it all cozy and cute. Bob and Mellie were our first guests and they said it was comfortable, so the first step was complete.

Then we had to re-paint the downstairs room, which is now Henry's room.

Even though it was already yellow, it really wasn't the baby yellow I wanted, so my loving husband re-painted it...I only helped a little. With all the trim in the room, this "little painting project" took a few weekends.

Then our crib arrived...unassembled. With only a few mumbles and grumbles, Matt put that together.

Didn't he do a FANTASTIC job? He's so handy!

Notice we've got an airplane theme goin' on. My grandpa was a colonel in the airforce. He died when I was in college but we were very close. I wasn't really a daddies girl or a mama's girl growing up -- I was grandpa's girl. So Henry's room will have a few of his old WWII pics and other airplane stuff.

And my beautiful and talented mom helped me make curtains for Henry's room. Didn't they turn out fabulous!

So the nursery is pale blue, butter yellow and soft green. Here's a close up so you can see them better. (And you can always click images for a larger view.)

My wonderful mom and dad bought us that SUPER-CUTE crib. You know, a black crib is hard to find. Mom and I have been to every baby store in the D/FW metroplex. Some of 'em we visted multiple times. We're having a lot of fun!

I LOVE YOU MOM!
