Fun Times at the Bryarly House
Our little Jake is now 4 months old. He weighs just over 14lbs and is 24 1/4 inches long. That's 40th% compared to other babies his age. Jake loves to eat so those numbers are changing everyday. Jake can roll from front to back. And he sleeps about 8 hours now -- usually 9pm to 5am -- so I'm only having to wake up once in the night which isn't too bad and he goes right back to sleep after that 5am bottle. Then Matt gets up with both of the boys around 7 and does Daddy Duty until it's time to go to work -- around 8:30 or so, which is when I finally roll out of bed and take over. It's a good system. Today is Matt's 35th birthday so he slept in.
I've started calling Jake "Blow Out Boy". He doesn't just have those small, babyish, poopers. When our Jakers goes, which is every day or so, it's a total blow out -- up the back, down the leg, ready for a bath situation.

It's easy to make Jake laugh and Henry is so sweet to him. He kisses his head every night and tries to give him toys. Jake's too small to hold toys, but Henry still tries. Jake loves it when we sing to him. Henry can sing "Twinkle, Twinkle", "Eyes of Texas", "Take me out to the ballgame", "ABCs", "Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes"...we've got lots of songs. Jake has found his thumb. It helps soothe him to sleep and keeps me from running in every 5 minutes to pop the pacie back in. Jake also loves his new jump-a-roo. He'll bounce around in that thing for 15 or 20 minutes at a time.

We got the pool blown up last week when Taylor was over, then invited a few friends to play -- Max (not in pic) and Christian. Fun-times!

And since Henry is still super into trains, Matt made one. He used belts to tie Henry's new battery-powered 4-wheeler to the shopping cart, then to the wagon, then to "Woody" the train. Henry drives his choo-choo all over the house.
