Rest and Relaxation
Matt and I haven't taken a vacation all year, so we dropped the kiddies off with Gram Mellie and Grandpa Bob and headed to St. Maarten. (The Dutch side of St. Martin). Kelly and Sean dumped their babies off at too and joined us. It was like we traded our mommy-daddy roles in for a week and revisted our pre-babies days. Every moment of the day we were either eating, drinking or lounging. We did take one hike up a steep hill to this fort for panaramic views of the island. We also shopped and took a ferry over to St. Barts. They say that's where the rich and famous go so we thought we'd fit in perfectly. :) Anyway, pics always do a better job explaining, so here ya go. Before we left, I had made an appointment for Jake to see the GI doctor again. The pediatrician said he may need occupational therapy since he still wasn't eating off a spoon at 7 months old. I couldn't get him in until after our trip, which turned out to be a good thing. One week at Gram Mellie's Therapy Clinic made all the difference. She had him eating cereal, fruit, even yogurt. I think he gained a few pounds on his Victoria vacation.

Since we've been home, Jake is drinking 2 milkshakes a day (formula, cereal and fruit). He's also eating a jar of food at breakfast and at dinner. And...here's the kicker...he's sleeping 11 hours at night!!! Well, this just started this week, but I'm enjoying it and hoping he keeps it up. It's been heavenly having both boys sleep so well.

Jake can't pull himself to sitting yet but stays sitting if you set him up. He has two bottom teeth with more on the way. He has to mouth everything within reach. He's a good napper and loves watching Henry bounce all over the house.
Tomorrow Henry turns 3! (Jake will be 8 months next week.) Henry went flying off the bed last night and now has a pretty goose egg on his head. We'll have a bunch of party pics uploaded next week. Until then, CHEERS!
