Winning Winter
Spring has been a long time coming. We're way into March right now and still wondering if it will snow again this year. It's the longest winter on record for D/FW. We've had 4 or 5 snow days and I'm not talkin' that slushy ice we normally get. We've been getting inches and inches of white, fluffy snow! Gorgeous, fat snowflakes. I always said I could never live in the northeast, where the snow hangs around for months and really looks more like black slush. It follows you into the car and into your house - yuck! I'm a big fan now of Texas snow. White, fluff that melts away in just a day or so. It's exciting to wake up and see it falling, watching all day as it piles up, saying good-bye before it turns into a mess and having it return just a few weeks later. Now that kind of winter is a winner!
