Shackleford's Expensive Snack
Our bulldog Shackleford was in the doggie hospital this week getting Henry’s pacifier cut out of his stomach. Yep, it seems like just yesterday we were cutting the corn cob out. This little incident was a bit cheaper than last time – only $1,700 vs. $5,000 ($2,500 surgery & $2,500 for new carpet). And we’ve got pet insurance this time around!

This is a picture of the “Soothie” they pulled from his belly (right). The one on the left is what it looked like before Shack got a hold of it. The vet said she’s never pulled a pacifier out before but they have pulled out carpet, socks, 1 carat diamond ring and a cell phone. Yes, just like the commercial. It was ringing in the dog’s belly.
